Herb - Licorice Root

Dubbed the "elixir of life" by ancient cultures, our wild-foraged Licorice Root(Glycyrrhiza lepidota) can provide numerous health benefits. It has a unique flavor, similar to its name and its energetic properties also make it popular for use in magical practices.

Medicinal: Anti-allergic, anti-viral, and makes a great tea for colds and bronchitis. Absolutely fantastic for acid reflux. Licorice root has been shown to be as good as codeine for stopping unproductive coughs and helps to bring up phlegm. Anti-inflammaory good for arthritis (poultice)

Culinary: Used as sweetener or chew on the root to satisfy the sweet tooth. Natural licorice root has a more delicate flavor than the candy. Can be used in sweet chili sauce and soy sauce to add a unique flavor.

We do not sell by grams or oz as weight varies based on density (ie roots weigh more than dried herb does) and we want to ensure you know EXACTLY the amount you are getting. A teaspoon is all you need for a single cup of tea. Most magic users do not want or need a large quantity for a single spell or ritual, which is why we offer small teaspoon-sized quantities.
